Singspiration: Interview With Award Winning Gospel Artist, Mike Abdul

It is always a pleasure for me to interview gospel artistes on the Singspiration Zone show that I host on City105.1Fm every Sunday by 5pm and a couple of weeks ago, I had Mike Abdul with me on the show and I must say it was one of my best interviews ever.

This is because he is so down to earth and also very hilarious company and I totally enjoyed the interview from the beginning till the end, infact it was like I had a long lost friend with me in the studio and we were just gisting.
Mike gives a deeper insight into who he really is, how he started, what influenced him, Midnight Crew and why the Tungba/Fuji style of gospel music he is really known for. Infact he shares the story of how he actually stumbled into the Fuji style.
what is an interview without a selfie?
And for people that think Mike Abdul is only about Fuji style and fast paced songs, you will be shocked to find out he actually has some deep worship songs that he said he had to fast and pray before dropping. He also features Kenny Kore on one of them.
My Kids got in on the fun as well...

Take a listen to the interview and hear Mike Abdul beg King Sunny Ade for a collabo (if it does happen though, Mike has promised me 10%....Lol!!)

Singspiration: Meet Fast Rising Gospel Artiste, Toeyoursea!

Its not often that I come across someone that I practically see as a mirror of myself (at a younger age of course...Lol) and fast rising, gospel artiste,Toeyoursea Kuforiji is one of such and even more.

She is a young, vibrant lady, energetic and full of life and most important of all, she loves God passionately which always comes across in her songs.

Funny enough, Toeyoursea joined the gospel music industry officially about 4 years ago although she has been in the choir prior to this, learning the ropes from people who have been doing it for years.

So far she has put out wonderful songs which include, Dandan Ni, Baba Mi, Number One and the one blowing up the airwaves recently is Adonai which is a worship song that makes you appreciate God like never before.

Toeyoursea says the whole idea behind Adonai is for it to bless and touch lives and I know it will surely bless you so I have taken it upon myself to share the song with you so you can download and listen to it over and over again.

I will also be sharing a download link of the interview I had with Toeyoursea on the Singspiration Zone and here you will get to hear from her firsthand how her journey has been so far, in the gospel music industry.

When Gospel Bass Guitarist, Dbass Dayo Came Through On Singspiration Zone

I always enjoy having guests come through on the Singspiration Zone Show which holds every Sunday evening from 5pm to 8pm. The show is all about profiling and playing Gospel songs and hymns that inspire as well as interviewing the people that sing such songs.

Myself and Dbass Dayo
One of my guests was the very talented Michael Ekundayo Akomolafe popularly known as "Dbass Dayo", a Gospel Minister and Guitar maestro who specializes on Gospel Afirican Jazz music.

I met Dbass Dayo at a concert organized by International Gospel Saxophonist,Seyi Alesh where I was the MC of that event and Dbass ministered to the point that he but his bass guitar on his head and was still hitting the right notes and people were practically falling under the anointing!

He has also featured in various concerts like House on The Rock church The Experience,Heritage Concert in South Africa, the 70 hour praise organized to celebrate Pastor Adeboye’s birthday and Seyi Alesh Friends Live In Concert(SAFFLIC 2014)

Me Trying To Play The Bass Guitar

I just had to have him come share this anointing on the show and it was totally worth it in all ramifications as he played song after song with his bass guitar including his latest single ‘Meta Meta’.

Another guest who came through was gospel artist Jacob Ekpe whose stage name is Fair Prince. His story is very inspirational in the fact that he relocated to Lagos and lived under the Maryland bridge (Cane village area) for about two and a half years all in the bid of taking his gospel career to another level.

Myself and Fair Prince(the guy fair sha!)

He has indeed taken it there as he just shot the video of his latest single, 'Thank You' in Uganda.
