Will You Eat Artificial Meat? Singapore Finally Approves Sale Of Such Meat

This is definitely the era of disruption as Singapore approves that lab-grown chicken meat be sold in restaurants in the state!

According to reports, there has been a demand for alternatives to regular meat due to consumer concerns about health, animal welfare and the environment.

However, this latest development by Eat Just is different because it is not plant based, but instead grown from animal muscle cells in a lab. They call it a "breakthrough for the global food industry" and hope that other countries will now follow suit.

With this latest development, Singapore becomes the world's first government to allow the sale of cultured meat.

Initially, the chicken bites will debut in a Singapore restaurant, with plans for wider expansion into dining and retail establishments in the country.

Meanwhile, Josh Tetrick, co-founder and CEO of Eat Just told CNN Business that the product will be priced at parity with premium chicken. He says the lab-grown chicken meat has a high protein content and is a rich source of minerals.
