Here is a quick reminder that Covid-19 is still very much affecting people and spreading! Just this past week in the United States according to the Washington Post, coronavirus hospitalizations were topping 80,000 and case counts on the cusp of 200,000 a day!
These figures are huge as average cases reported each day in the United States have jumped nearly 15 percent in a week, according to data tracked by The Washington Post.
Before you say its not here in Nigeria, please remember that people are still travelling which means someone can travel into Nigeria and bring it in unknowingly.
Meanwhile, I have observed that even many shops, offices, business places and public transportation have relaxed on the protective measures!
Please lets get back to observing them by wearing your nose masks when you go out, maintain social distancing, wash your hands regularly or use hand sanitizer if not close to soap and water. Like they say, PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE
Here is a also another reminder of what the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is and things to look out for to avoid stories that touch. Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment.
HOW IT SPREADS
The virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or exhales. These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air, and quickly fall on floors or surfaces.
You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within close proximity of someone who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and it then passes through your eyes, nose or mouth.
