How has this week been treating you thus far? Well let me add some cheer to it with some gist about me since I promised to keep you updated more oftenπ
If you are a new visitor to this blog and probably don't know me that well, My name is Bimbo Olasope popularly known as the Mary Poppins of Parenting, a banker turned media personality and a certified Family Fun Coach & Happiness Life Coach.
I empower parents and children with value added information & resources to encourage family bonding and interaction through fun, learning and entertainment.
I also inspire and encourage people to thrive despite challenges they might face from time to time after-all, life is a journey filled with both certainties and uncertainties and you must be ready to face both!
Fondly called Aunty Bimbo by so many people, I got my Life Coach certification from the Olusola Lanre Coaching Academy, OLCA but I went further to focus on a niche hence a Happiness Life Coach Certification from the American Transformation Academy.
I am also a Certified Family Life Practitioner in Family Systems Re-engineering from the foremost Family Life Advocate, Praise Fowowe's Institute of Family Engineering and Development.
My passion for families led me to create a pioneer daily morning radio show called City Kids Show in 2013 which then evolved into a more robust platform for both parents and children called Family Funtime With Aunty Bimbo in 2017 till date.
Last but not the least, I am a Single Mum raising two adorable teenagers who are 18 and 15 years old to the glory of God which is why stumbling on this video on Youtube, I decided to share as it was an interview I had at Rave Tv where I spoke about challenges of being a Single Parent.
Honestly, nobody sets out or plans to be a single parent either male or female but sometimes life happens and you have to be able to rise up and face it with all positivity and optimism. Parenting is not particularly an easy journey even with both parents involved in a child's life and it involves a lot of continuous improvement along the way.
There is no manual on parenting because different parents have different ways of parenting their child but the common thing should be raising a child to become an adult that will add value and impact to the society.
I hope you enjoy the interview and learn one or two things that will be of use to you in one way or the other.
Be on the lookout for my next post because like I said a few days ago, I am back with a bang and want to make up for lost time!π
